God Wants you to Receive His Free Gift of Salvation

God loves you and He wants you to receive His free gift of Salvation and Eternal Life through His Son Jesus but, there are some things you have to know before you can receive it.  You have to know who Jesus truly is, you have to believe what Jesus said about sin and Salvation and you have to understand what Jesus did to bring you this free gift of Eternal Life.

Reading the Gospel of John in the New Testament will teach you these important things about Jesus.  After careful reading of the Gospel of John, the following things should become very clear to you. 

 

 

God Loves You

 

God loves you and has a plan for your life. “For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.” (John 3:16)

 

 

All Men Are Sinners

 

Our sins have separated us from God. “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23) God made man in His own image. He gave man the ability to choose right from wrong. We choose to sin. Our sins keep us from God.

 

 

Sin Must Be Paid For

 

“For the wages of sin is death...” (Romans 6:23). Wages means payment. The payment of our sin is death and hell, separation from God forever. If we continue in our sin, we will die without Christ and be without God forever in eternal torment.

 

 

Jesus Paid For Our Sins

 

All of our sins were laid on Christ on the cross. He paid our sin debt for us. The Lord Jesus Christ died on the cross, and He arose from the dead. He is alive forevermore. “But God demonstrates his own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:8)

 

 

You Must be Born Again

 

The Bible says, “He who believes in him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God” (John 3:18) 

“But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name” (John 1:12)

 

 

Pray And Receive Jesus As Your Savior

Once you understand and believe these important things about Jesus from the Bible and you come to love Jesus for who He is and what He's done for you and you are ready to commit your life to Jesus to be your Lord and Savior , you will be ready to receive God's Free Gift of Salvation.  Find a quiet place where you can speak to the Lord in prayer from a heart of faith.  The prayer it's self will not Save you, God knows what's in your heart and if you pray with a believing heart, God will save you by His Grace through your Faith.  Here is a sample prayer:

Lord Jesus, I know that I am a sinner. I understand and believe that You are the Son of God, that You died for my sins and that You rose again to be my Savior. I love you Jesus for who You are and all You've done for me.  I come to you by faith and put my full trust in You alone to be my Savior and Lord.  Please come into my life, forgive me of all my sin and help me to live for You from this day forward. Please take me to Heaven when I die to be with you for all eternity.  I pray these things in the name of Jesus Christ, my Lord and Savior, Amen. 

 

The Bible says, “For whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” (Romans 10:13)

New Life

 

If you have trusted Jesus to be your Lord and Savior - Congratulations!

Read your Bible everyday and find a good Gospel Believing, Gospel Preaching Church and ask the pastor what being baptized is all about.

 

 “These things have I written to you who believe on the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe on the name of the Son of God.” (1 John 5:13)
